Musala (2 925 m) is the highest peak at the Balkans and being such is a famous trek. “The crown of Musala” offers a different approach – a beautiful and panoramic traverse including the jagged ridge Trionite and the second highest peak Malka Musala.

Day 1: Arrival/Borovets
Arrival in Sofia. Transfer to Samokov (1,5 h). Accommodation in a family run guesthouse.
Day 2: Musala traverse
After breakfast transfer to Borovets (10 km) from where we will take the gondola to 2 300 m. Traverse of the three highest peaks – Musala, Malka Musala and Irechek by the rock ridge Trionite. Accommodation in a family-run guesthouse.
Duration 8-9 h/ Ascent 600 m/ Descent 1300 m
Day 3: Rock climbing
After brakfast we go to Borovets once again and spend the day at the nearby climbing crag which offers 21 routes with categories varying from 3a to 7a+. Suitable for absolute beginners and people with intermediate climbing experience. Transfer to the airport (1,5 h).

The program requires the use of basic alpine equipment, good physical condition and previous mountaineering experience. Some climbing experience is an advance. A professional guide is responsible for maximum two clients.
